Weekly Support Meetings for Mothers Against Addiction

At Mothers Against Addiction, we understand that the journey of a mother coping with her child’s addiction or grieving the loss of a child is incredibly challenging. To provide a compassionate space for mothers navigating these difficult experiences, we host weekly 60-minute Zoom meetings on Thursdays at 4 pm Pacific Time. During these meetings, mothers come together to share their stories, offer support, and help one another heal.

What Happens During the Zoom Meetings

Our weekly Zoom meetings are designed to create a safe and understanding environment for mothers to share their experiences, insights, and emotions. Each meeting is structured to ensure every participant has an opportunity to speak, listen, and find support. Our experienced facilitators guide the discussions, offering encouragement and ensuring a respectful atmosphere.

Zoom Meeting Schedule

Our weekly support meetings are held every Thursday at 4pm Pacific Time via Zoom. We encourage mothers to attend regularly to build strong connections and find ongoing support in their healing journey.

Zoom Meeting Layout and Structure

Each meeting follows a structured format to ensure a meaningful and supportive experience for all participants:

  1. Welcome and Introductions: The facilitator welcomes everyone and provides a brief overview of Mothers Against Addiction and the purpose of the meeting. New participants are invited to introduce themselves.
  2. Sharing Time: Each mother has the opportunity to share her story, experiences, or feelings related to her child’s addiction or loss. Participants are encouraged to speak openly and honestly, knowing that the group is a safe and non-judgmental space.
  3. Group Discussion: The facilitator guides a group discussion, allowing mothers to respond to each other’s stories, offer support, and share insights or coping strategies. This is an opportunity for mothers to learn from one another and find solace in shared experiences.
  4. Closing: The meeting concludes with a brief summary, words of encouragement, and an invitation to attend the next meeting.
